Jonny Bellis Updates

The latest on Jonny Bellis is he is continuing his rehabilitation programme and is showing good signs of progression with his movement. Jonny is also steadily regaining the weight he lost whilst in intensive care.

23rd November

A spokesman for Jonny Bellis's hospital in London has released the following:

"Jonny is doing very well. He no longer needs ICU [intensive care]. His rehabilitation is ongoing and he's now able to talk again."

9th November

The GB cycling team has just released this update on Jonny Bellis, who was injured in a motor scooter accident in Italy in September.

"Jonny Bellis has now been transferred to a hospital in London where he has been assigned his own physiotherapist. A rehab programme has begun and doctors at the hospital have confirmed that he is stable and progressing well."

13 October 2009

The GB cycling team has just released this update on Jonny Bellis, who was injured in a motor scooter accident in Italy lat month.

"Jonny Bellis was brought out of his medically induced coma late last week but remains heavily medicated. Whilst his condition is still serious, the hospital staff are slowly bringing him off the ventilator and are keeping a close eye on his progress."
