Scottish Cross Country MTB Series (SXC)

SXC are a non-profit organisation that runs the national series of mountain bike races across Scotland on behalf of Scottish Cycling.

For 2010 SXC are delighted to have Dalescycles.com on board as title sponsor, and with their support we are looking forward to building the best MTB XC Race Series in the UK. The series continues to visit the premier XC race venues in the country, adding an element of natural, technical riding unheard of elsewhere. The series kicks off with the trail riders favourite, Kirroughtree in March, and finishes up at possibly the best MTB venue in the World - Drumlanrig Castle, and travels the length & breadth of the country in between.

If you haven't sampled the' SXC experience' yet there's never been a better time to give a it a go with categories to suit everyone from beginners to elite competitors.

With four rounds of the Midlands XC and the Short Track Championships penned in for 2010, James Hampshire and Nadine Spearing have organised a packed summer of racing, including one round south of Birmingham.

Pedal On Southern XC Series

The Southern XC Series is back for it's sixth year with a massive prize pot of £1000 for Expert and Elite riders. Sponsored again by PedalOn and run by racers for racers across the south of England, Henry Turgoose has sent us the latest including a video so you can get a taste for the courses on offer.

MSG Eastern Region Mountain Bike League

Building on the success of last year's three race Essex series, the Mud Sweat and Gears organisers have spread their wings and signed up Thetford MTB Racing and the Tunstall and Rendlesham Offroad Group (TROG) as partners for 2010 as well as expanding their relationship with Chelmsford Borough Council to include Hylands Park in Essex. The resulting six races form the first Eastern XC series since 2003.

Fully Sussed South West XC Series

After an absence of several years, Fully Sussed are delighted to announce the return of Summer cross country mountain bike racing to the South West. The series will consist of four Sunday races with British Cycling ranking points and a grass roots evening series run under the British Cycling Go MTB scheme.Sunday Series

Caersws Cup Downhill Series

The Caersws Cup is back for 2010 with entry fees frozen and five dates incorrporrating uplift services.

Caersws still remains as one of the best downhill venues in the country and now with all the trees cut down it's even better place to ride with the 5 new courses including a new National downhill course there is an amazing choice of tracks to ride.

Race organiser Chris Roberts said, "Caersws is the perfect for place for the series, the best uplift in the country equals more time blasting down the five exciting courses".

The entry fee has been frozen at the 2009 price of £55 and includes free camping and Team Pits next to the finish line.

There will be trade stands, live commentary & great food for everyone to enjoy.

Following each race there will be Video highlights film produced for the web & there will be a DVD made for the end of series.
